Notes
TradingView public stock discovery and metadata
Use the exchange-prefixed path identifier shown in a TradingView overview URL, such as NASDAQ-AAPL. Validated on NASDAQ-listed common stocks only. The returned instrument uses a colon, such as NASDAQ:AAPL. No account is needed.
Currency describes the instrument's quoted currency, not a returned price. timeZone is instrument metadata, not a retrieval or trade timestamp. The operation returns no prices, recommendations or articles. ISIN can be absent for instruments outside the validated stock examples. Data comes from the overview document, without a fully hydrated GUI.
listSectorInstruments accepts a U.S. sector slug shown in TradingView navigation, such as electronic-technology, technology-services or health-technology. It returns the first server-rendered stock rows in document order, up to 100 in the checked pages. This is a partial discovery list, without pagination or a complete-sector guarantee. Pass a returned instrument identifier to getInstrument; only NASDAQ common stocks have been validated for that detail operation. Other exchanges in the list have not. Document order can change; no hydrated sort or real-time ranking is promised.
About these operations
Each operation is a request learned from TradingView's own web pages: API Anything replays it over plain HTTP and falls back to a browser when it must. Read them as JSON.
