Notes
Google Play app discovery
Copy package IDs from app links for getApp(packageId), category codes from category links for listCategoryApps(category), and the exact 19-digit string from /store/apps/dev?id= links for listDeveloperApps(developerId). Never convert developerId to Number. The /store/apps/developer route and name IDs are unsupported. Pass a returned packageId to getApp.
Only English layouts were checked. No language or country is fixed; localeDisplay gives the detail response footer context. Results do not establish a US or global catalog. Developer names and catalog association are displayed labels, not verified legal ownership.
Detail headerRatingDisplay and headerReviewsDisplay are the paired app-header badges, with rounded review counts. The separate device-controlled ratings panel may differ; no exact count, common device population or global aggregate is established. contentRating is an age/content label; updatedOnDisplay retains the displayed date without timezone or installed-version inference. Missing fields can reflect another layout.
Both list operations read initial document cards in response order, including repeated apps. ratingDisplay is the optional spoken rounded card rating. Editorial shelves, pagination, exhaustive membership, global ranking, compatibility, install eligibility, prices and paid rights are unqualified. Checked categories are VIDEO_PLAYERS, PRODUCTIVITY and EDUCATION; checked developer catalogs are VLC, Microsoft and Duolingo. Other valid-looking IDs may not exist. No install, purchase, login or review action is performed.
About these operations
Each operation is a request learned from Google Play app listings's own web pages: API Anything replays it over plain HTTP and falls back to a browser when it must. Read them as JSON.
